Star Jones To Return To The View Next Month
Barbara Walters announced today that Star Jones will be returning to The View as a guest on February 22nd.
Jones will appear on the daytime talk show to promote an awareness campaign about heart disease among women. Both Walters and Jones have had open heart surgery.
Jones exited the show in 2006 when ABC decided not to renew her contract. But the exit got more heated when Jones took Walters by surprise: announcing on air that she was leaving the show. Walters – who didn’t expect Jones to make the announcement in that way, did not allow her on the show the next day.
During Jones’ last book tour, she indicated she would gladly return for a visit to the weekday chat show but had never been invited back.
