Adele to Take a Five Year Break From Music?! Now She’s Laughing Off Her Magazine Quote.

Fresh after winning more Grammys than her arms could carry and taking a medically required post-surgery break from singing, Adele has revealed she may take a five year break from music... WHA?!?

Fresh after winning more Grammys than her arms could carry and taking a medically required post-surgery break from singing, Adele has revealed in Vogue that  she may take a five year break from music… WHA?!? Not so fast… she’s already laughing it off.

In an interview with Vogue, she revealed her plan to take a half-decade break and focus on her relationship with new boyfriend Simon Konecki.

Says Adele: “I am f—ing off for four or five years,” says the singer, notorious for her swearing. “If I am constantly working, my relationships fail. So at least now I can have enough time to write a happy record. And be in love and be happy…And then I don’t know what I’ll do … Get married. Have some kids. Plant a nice vegetable patch.”

Granted, the interview was conducted weeks, if not months ago, well before her Grammy sweep and perhaps even in the midst of the drama over her vocal chord surgery. And, you  might even detect a hint of silliness and sarcasm there. A passing thought now etched in magazine stone.

Turns out, post Grammy’s she is already laughing off the remarks, telling another reporter: ”I’ve a few days off now, and then it’s the Brit Awards here at home and then I’m straight into the studio. BOYYAHH! Five years? More like five days.”

That’s a relief! Five years in show business is a lifetime. Today’s top flavor can soon be yesterday’s memory. Let’s hope she can make time for both.
