Adele Promises New Music in 2012!
Adele fans, get ready, you’ll have new music coming your way very soon!
Contrary to previous reports and rumors of a long break, Adele said, in a new interview with French radio network NRJ, that she expects to have a “new song probably coming out at the end of the year.”
Just to clarify, that does NOT mean the powerhouse singer will have a new album. For someone who writes all her own music, that will take a little bit longer…
“I have to write another record, you know…If I didn’t write my own songs, I’d be out next week with a new album. But because I write my own songs, I have to take time and live a little bit. There was a good two years between my first and second albums, so it’ll be the same this time.”
But when the newest album does hit, does Adele feel like it could live up to her last Grammy winner, “21”? She says that in the end, it doesn’t matter:
“I don’t think I’ll ever feel the pressure for my next record to be as big as the last one, because I know that’s just not really possible…What’s happened with this one is very rare, anyway.”
Whether or not it lives up to “21”, I’m just looking forward to some new music!
