Charlie Sheen Admits No Victory: He Was in Complete Denial For The Past Year

It seems like after all this time, Charlie Sheen is finally coming to his senses…

In a new interview with Rolling Stone, Sheen has admitted that while he may have put on the facade of “Winning”, his life over the past year has been anything but:

“Clearly, a guy gets fired, his relationships are in the toilet, he’s off on some f—ing tour, there’s nothing ‘winning’ about any of that…I mean, how does a guy who’s obviously quicksanded, how does he consider any of it a victory? I was in total denial.”

Sheen, who is making the rounds promoting his new FX comedy series, “Anger Management,” also spoke about his relationship with ex-wife Denise Richards.  Richards has said that the two are “like best friends now. Confidants…He tells me everything.” Sheen was quick to confirm the friends idea, saying, “We sleep in separate rooms.”

While it’s nice to see the man turn a corner, especially after everything he’s been through (granted, he’s been through it because he put himself through it…), you have to wonder if he’ll end up falling off the wagon again.  Case in point: here is Sheen speaking about alcohol:

“I mean, the sh-t works. Sorry, but it works. Anyway, I don’t see what’s wrong with a few drinks. … [My drink is] vodka. Straight, because I’ve always said that ice is for injuries, ha ha.”

On the other hand, if Denise Richards, who knows him best, can handle him, then I think that means he’s okay for now…

“Anger Management” premieres on FX June 28.
