Michael Bay Speaks Out On TRANSFORMERS 4 (And Possibly 5)

We all knew that Michael Bay, despite many times saying he never would, was coming back to direct TRANSFORMERS 4. Well now, we have his first input on the movie, and Bay says it'll apparently be his last!

We all knew that Michael Bay, despite many times saying he never would, was coming back to direct TRANSFORMERS 4.  Well now, we have his first input on the movie, and Bay says it’ll apparently be his last!

In a recent interview regarding the new Transformers 3D Ride at Universal Studios in California, Bay said that the fourth film will include some redesigns of your favorite robots, and an entirely new cast to feast your eyes upon.  (No more Shia LaBeouf yelling?)

Bay also said that this go around will definitely be his last, but he’ll make sure to set the franchise up “for the next guy.”

I know that Bay signed on to direct this entry so he could do his passion project, PAIN AND GAIN, but I wonder how good it could possibly be?  TRANSFORMERS 3 was definitely better than 2, but do we really need a part 5 or 6 or 7?

On the other hand…I don’t think anybody thought MEN IN BLACK 3 would be good, and look how that turned out…

TRANSFORMERS 4 is tentatively slated to open in 2014.
