Warner Brothers Pushes Back GANGSTER SQUAD After Movie Massacre.

Warner Brothers postpones a movie with a now controversial scene.

Following the Aurora, Colorado movie theater massacre, Warner Brothers has been swiftly changing everything gun related in the marketing campaign for THE DARK KNIGHT RISES.  And now, they’re taking an even bigger step, altering an entire, pivotal scene in the unrelated film, GANGSTER SQUAD.

According to WorstPreviews, Warner Brothers has confirmed that it plans to cut a scene in which armed men open fire on a bunch of cops in a movie theaters’ audience.  They have already scheduled re-shoots to patch up the now apparent hole in the film’s plot.

After the horrible tragedy, where James Holmes killed 12 people and injured 58, Warner Bros immediately pulled the trailer for GANGSTER SQUAD from all DARK KNIGHT RISES screenings.

The supposed new release date for the film would be in January of 2013, shocking to me, considering that January and mid March are normally considered garbage months.

GANGSTER SQUAD stars Ryan Gosling, Josh Brolin, Sean Penn, Emma Stone and Nick Nolte and is directed by ZOMBIELAND helmer Ruben Fleischer
