VIDEO: Check Out This Guy’s Stunt Demo Reel, And What He Had To Do To Get There!

Stunt work. It's something we as an audience usually take for granted in the world of film. With every fight, jump and crash that you see on screen, there is yet another stuntman doing an amazing job while risking his life in the process.

Stunt work.  It’s something we as an audience usually take for granted in the world of film.  With every fight, jump and crash that you see on screen, there is yet another stuntman doing an amazing job while risking his life in the process.

But if you think the profession of ‘stunt man’ has to do with the ridiculousness you’ve seen on “Jackass”, then you’re dead wrong.

Derek Barnes is former rigger who wanted to break into that stunt world.  While he got his foot in the door on the new TOTAL RECALL remake, Barnes realized that to have a career, he had to step up his game, and spent a full year training before putting together a demo reel.

That demo reel has now made its way onto Reddit, and it is blowing away viewers all across the internet.  Check it out below to see Barnes do everything from jump off buildings, a horse, and a moving car, to firing a shotgun while riding a unicycle.  (Yes, I know it’s ridiculous, but it’s hysterical, and set to the White Stripes’ “Lafayette Blues.”)

A classic example of internet promotion at its best…let’s jump hope that internet promotion turns into something spectacular.
