UPDATE: Green Day Frontman Billie Joe Released From Hospital

UPDATE: WENN is reporting that Billie Joe has been released from the hospital and is resting.

Green Day lead singer Billie Joe Armstrong was rushed to the hospital this weekend for a reason still undisclosed.

NBC News is reporting that Armstrong suffered “gastric problems”, forcing the band to cancel an upcoming concert in Bologna, Italy.

Armstrong’s fellow band members, Mike Dirnt and Tre Cool, filmed a video message to fans, apologizing for the cancellation and promising that the band would make it up the following summer.

Green Day has three albums coming out over the next six months, titled “Uno!”, “Dos!” and “Tre!”  The first, “Uno!” is due out Sept. 25.
