Usher And Shakira Will Replace Cee Lo Green And Christina Aguilera In Cycle Four

NBC’s hit The Voice will mix it up during the spring season’s fourth cycle – bringing in Usher and Shakira as coaches to replace Cee Lo Green and Christina Aguilera…. but WAIT! They’re coming back for season five?!?

NBC Entertainment Robert Greenblatt told E! in a statement that the the change is only temporary, to accommodate the busy schedules of popular stars:

“Doing two back-to-back cycles of this show requires a tremendous amount of time, and we are happy to accommodate the commitments made by Christina and Cee Lo … The participants on our show benefit from our coaches’ expertise and their continued success in the music business allows for significant new contributions to the contestants when they return.”

So… Usher and Shakira will be coming in for the time being until Xtina and Cee Loo can come back for season five.

(I can’t help but think that if the ratings skyrocket with Usher and Shakira they wouldn’t be against persuading either to stay…)
