Did Jamie Foxx Just Confirm That He’ll Be Playing Electro In THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2?!
Just two weeks ago, rumors were swirling around that Jamie Foxx was about to sign on to play Electro in THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 (Foxx’s tweet saying that he dressed up as the character for Halloween only added to the confusion.) But today, did the RAY star finally let it slip that it’s going to happen?!
When asked about the role by Access Hollywood, Foxx basically made it sound like the casting was known news, saying:
“Fingers crossed it all works out. I have a little daughter, four years old, and what’s crazy is like, this past year she had a birthday where Spider-Man was the theme… I haven’t sprung it on her yet, but she will go crazy!”
So was that the sign that things are getting close? And if Foxx wants it and director Marc Webb wants it, what would stop the casting from happening? (Jamie doesn’t have much going on besides press for the upcoming DJANGO UNCHAINED…)
THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 is set to begin shooting next Spring, and will hit theaters May 2, 2014.
