We’re still all trying to figure out if the new Spider-Man reboot is a good idea. Yet, despite the fact that all that’s been released so far is a single trailer and some stills, Sony is so confident in their new franchise that they’ve already greenlit the sequel AND picked a release date for it!
THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 will be released in theaters May 2, 2014. According to a Sony executive speaking to Deadline, the confidence level is through the roof!
“I think it speaks volumes about our confidence in what we are seeing on the new film and our desire to move quickly on the next installment.”
Well, okay then!
This new Spider-Man definitely looks darker than the original trilogy. I’m just hoping it doesn’t cross that line into emo teen flick. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see…
