Is Coldplay Splitting Up?! At Least For A Little While…
Fans of Coldplay, get ready…after three more shows, it may be a while before you see your favorite band together again.
While performing at a concert last week in Brisbane, Australia, Coldplay front man Chris Martin hinted that the group will probably be taking a hiatus for a few years, saying,
“This is the last big show for three years or so…I don’t want to stop.”
While Coldplay has three more shows scheduled in 2012—one on Dec. 29 at Mohegan Sun Arena in Connecticut, and two on Dec. 30 and 31 at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center—nothing else is planned afterward.
Since 2000, Coldplay has released five albums, and while their sound has moderately changed with each new venture, the critical acclaim has remained.
