“Boy Meets World” Sequel Officially Moving Forward With Danielle Fishel and Ben Savage.
A few weeks ago there was a story that the Disney channel was pushing forward an idea for a sequel to 90’s hit “Boy Meets World”. A short synopsis for the series states “Girl Meets World” would take place over a decade after the final episode of “Boy Meets World” and be about Corey Matthews (Ben Savage) and Topanga’s (Danielle Fishel) daughter. Disney now seems to be rushing the pilot along since just weeks later they have brought Savage and Fishel back to play their old roles according to TVLine, who also had the story that Disney was bringing the “Boy Meets World” story back. Both actors have not been very busy of late, in fae Dct, Ben Savage has been working but staying out of the limelight, doing roles in straight to DVD movies or guest roles on TV series. Fishel on the other hand, has stayed out of acting almost all together since “Boy Meets World” wrapped in 2000, appearing in 2 National Lampoon straight to DVD comedies, and a successful run on Style Network’s “The Dish,” the fashion world’s answer to “The Soup.” Now we all await word to see if any other former cast members will return, If they bring back William Daniels (Mr. Feeny) then I will absolutely be on my couch watching the pilot. “Girl Meets World” does not have a start date but from the sound of things Disney is looking to get this thing started as soon as possible.
