Taylor Swift Meets With Teen Fan Battling Brain Cancer
It may be scary to be one of Taylor Swift’s exes, but if you’re one of her fans, get ready to be treated like royalty.
NBC News is reporting that Swift recently met with Kayla Kincannon, a 17-year-old Michigan girl battling brain cancer. Kayla’s family and friends launched an online Twitter campaign — #OperationGetKaylaToMeetTaylorSwift, and after about a month of trying to get the “Trouble” singer’s attention, Kayla’s dream finally came true on January 19th.
Kayla’s father, Brad, posted the news on their Team Kayla website, saying that the meeting was no rushed event:
“You guys have no idea how awesome this lunch was! This was no quick meet and greet photo opp. We sat and talked to Taylor and her mom for two hours, had lunch and Kayla received a gift basket, then she signed pictures!”
Brad went on to express his gratitude for making his daughter’s dream come true in more ways than she could have imagined:
“She is the sweetest, most down-to-earth person I have ever met! This was more than we ever expected! I’m so thankful to team Kayla, news, and everyone who made her dream come true! This was the best day ever for her and all of us!”
And Kayla’s response? A simple tweet of happiness:
“Can not believe I just had lunch w @taylorswift13 today, I was enchanted to meet you!”
