POP SNAPSHOT: Twinkies Plan A BIG Comeback.

Not only are Twinkies coming back – expect some more variations of the popular cake… including a CRUNCHY Twinkie, gluten-free Twinkies, even flavored twinkies. The new tagline for the cake will be “The Sweetest Comeback In The History Of Ever.”

Hostess is back up and running under new owners and a leaner financial structure, after going bankrupt last year. Nostalgia helped the snack cake get a LOT of publicity. But will all that publicity add up to retail sales when they finally return? Only time will tell.

The big day: July 15th. Ten Twinkies will cost you about $3.99.
