B’WAY BUZZ: Aaron Tveit Will Make You Swoon With ‘Come What May’ - POP GOES THE WEEK!!

B’WAY BUZZ: Aaron Tveit Will Make You Swoon With ‘Come What May’

Seeing Aaron Tveit all gussied up, singing the sweet notes of “Come What May” has me swooning like a lady…marmalade.

Gearing up for the June 27th, pre-Broadway open of Moulin Rouge!, Tveit gives us a little preview of what’s to come. The musical, based on the hit 2001, Oscar nominated, movie musical, tells the story of Christian, a depressed writer who is eager to join the Bohemian movement in Paris. In the film, the song is the writer’s way of confirming his love for actress Satine, who is suffering from a fatal case of Tuberculosis. The plot sounds heavy, but the film is actually a romantic comedy, I swear! In any event, the song is one of two that are standouts from the musical, with the other being “Lady Marmalade.”

Aaron Tveit has grown into Broadway royalty starring in such hits as Next To Normal, and Catch Me If You Can, as well as big musical moments like Grease Live! and the film adaption of Les Miserables. His smooth voice and great acting chops will make for a perfect Christian! A Broadway opening date is tbd but fans are already buzzing to get tickets on the Great White Way.

Take a look at the beautiful rendition of the iconic song below and if you’re in Boston, check out Moulin Rogue! at the Emerson Colonial Theatre.
