The 78-year old game show host appeared on Levin’s series OBJECTified over the weekend and said there is a 50/50 chance that he will retire when his contract is up in 2020. Trebek has been the host of the popular game show since 1983. It is hard to imagine a round of answers without his famous voice guiding the players. Since leaving the mantle will be such a hefty move, Trebek has named two people he thinks would be suited to take his place. The first is Alex Faust, the 28 year old announcer for the LA Kings. He is already on the fast track to success as he took over for renowned broadcaster, Bob Miller, at such a young age. The second choice from Trebek is CNN legal analyst Laura Coates. While her current credentials are quite different than the two Alex’s, Trebek thinks she would make a good fit as well. What do you think?
