Meryl Streep continues her amazing reputation as the chameoleon of the acting world! Able to transform in her behavior and look for virtually any role… in this case, former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher.
According to the New York Post:
“Streep is filming “The Iron Lady” in London right now, under the direction Phyllida Lloyd, who worked with Streep, 61, in the 2008 movie version of “Mamma Mia!”
In a statement, Streep said:ÂÂÂ
“The prospect of exploring the swathe cut through history by this remarkable woman is a daunting and exciting challenge.”
That’s all very interesting, but more importantly… LOOK AT HER! She’s a dead ringer! I was blown away by her as Julia Child in Julia and Julia, and this transformation is equally stunning.
The film is expected to hit theaters late this year or in early 2012.
