BATMAN’s Alfred, Michael Gough, Dead at 94

Actor Michael Gough, which anybody who is a fan of the 80s and 90s versions of BATMAN will recognize as Alfred Pennyworth, has passed away at age 94.
Gough’s career spanned over six decades, starting in 1947 with BLANCHE FURY.  Born in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, he had many starring roles, inlcuding the U.K. version of “Doctor Who” and film versions of both PHANTOM OF THE OPERA and DRACULA.  He played Alfred in the four Batman films between 1989 and 1997.
Gough appeared for the last time on screen in Tim Burton’s 1999 SLEEPY HOLLOW and provided voice acting for CORPSE BRIDE in 2005.

He is survived by his wife and two children.
