While the rest of his co-stars from THE BEAVER were on the red carpet at SXSW, Mel Gibson was turning himself into police.
Gibson was booked, fingerprinted and released on his misdemeanor battery charge yesterday at the El Segundo Police Department. ÂÂÂ
The booking was required as part of a plea deal he struck that spared him from jail in a criminal case involving accusations that he abused his ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva. As you can see, that mug shot is a little more somber than the one taken back in 2006.
Gibson was accused of hitting Grigorieva in January of last year. He pled no contest this past Friday, and was given three years probation and must attend a year of domestic violence counseling.
