Charlie Sheen’s Reaction to Ashton Joining “Two and a Half Men”…A Little Different Than Jon Cryer… - POP GOES THE WEEK!!

Charlie Sheen’s Reaction to Ashton Joining “Two and a Half Men”…A Little Different Than Jon Cryer…

It took less than a day, and the legend that is Charlie Sheen came out to speak about his “Two and a Half Men” replacement, Ashton Kutcher.

Sheen spoke with TMZ yesterday, and while his words toward Kutcher weren’t anything horrible, he did let his opinions known about the WB and Chuck Lorre.  His choice quotations:

About Kutcher: “Kutcher is a sweetheart and a brilliant comedic performer … Oh wait, so am I!!”

About the Ratings and the WB: “Enjoy the show America…Enjoy seeing a 2.0 in the demo every Monday, WB.”

About Chuck Lorre: “Enjoy planet Chuck, Ashton…There is no air, laughter, loyalty, or love there.”

Well, then!

Luckily, the non-fired “Two and a Half Men” star, Jon Cryer, is looking forward to the new path of the show, and it just happy that it’s coming back! In a statement to E! News, Cryer said

“I’m jazzed about the news this morning that Two and a Half Men is coming back! I want to express my enormous gratitude to Charlie Sheen for eight great seasons. I’m extremely proud of the work we’ve done together, and I will miss him. But I’m also looking forward to this new beginning.”

Concerning Kutcher, Cryer says:

“Ashton is an extraordinarily talented guy, and his presence will be an asset to our show…We are old friends from our male modeling days, and we’re both looking forward to being judged for our comedic artistry, as opposed to our exceptional physical beauty.”

Taking the high road.  I like it….

However, in the end, when Sheen got word of all the good vibes coming from his replacement, he seemed to have changed his mind (whether genuine or not), tweeting, “#Winning Congrats to the cast and crew…CBS & WB..! My best to @aplusk !! The show must go on… You got the right guy! c.”

Kutcher replied, “#2.5 @charliesheen Thank man. Always been a fan, always will be! BTW you were ‘born big.'”

Let us know…will YOU watch the show when it comes back next season?  Are you looking forward to Kutcher, or could no one replace Sheen?

  • I think there wouldn’t be such humorous act like the ones we saw with chalie sheen.. i’m sure it will be less watchable than it really has the past seasons… but anyways, gud luck (for trying) but, there won’t be a 2 and a half man without charlie in it.
