THE AVENGERS Script Has Leaked, And It’s Because Samuel L. Jackson Lost It!

Samuel L. Jackson is the man.  ‘Nuff said.  And even the man could sometimes make a mistake…like let the script to one of the most anticipated movies of the decade out of his sight.

Here’s how this goes:

Obsessed with Film and many other film sites received an email from an anonymous source that claimed to have the shooting script for THE AVENGERS.  The script supposedly included the Marvel Studios letterhead and all pages had a watermark with the owner’s name on it (meaning whomever leaked the script would have their name printed on every single page).  The emailer wrote:

“I have one hard copy that I am looking to sell and I will not be making any copies, therefore exclusivity is guaranteed. Considering that the release of The Avengers is over a year away this script should generate a substantial amount of traffic for the website that acquires it.”

OWF obviously was a tad skeptical of the authenticity of the script, so they asked for picture proof.  What they got were two pictures of a script (below) that seemed pretty damn real.  And who might have lost their script?  None other than Jackson, himself.

The question still remains how the script could have gotten into the hands of the ‘seller’, whether it was stolen or found, but either way, OWF made a pretty good point about buying the copy:

“And of course he is right about the last bit. If I were to do a review of the new shooting script for The Avengers and it was exclusive to OWF, the boost in traffic would probably kill our server on that particular day but then what happens after that? Disney, one of the biggest corporations in the world will send me a cease and desist letter within 24 hours, the article will then be removed and we will be left with The Avengers script we paid several thousands of pounds for (I’m presuming that’s how much someone will pay but in reality I have no idea) that we can’t talk about.”

As of now, you have the two pictures below to enjoy and one page to read about Bruce Banner’s transformation into the Hulk.  If you want any more, I suggest you keep a keen eye out for any sites that will post it.  IF the script DOES get posted somewhere, odds are it won’t be up for long…

Or you could just wait a year and see the movie in theaters…
