Zsa Zsa Gabor was taken to a hospital for treatment of pneumonia Wednesday afternoon, says the actress’ spokesman John Blanchette.
“She’s having trouble breathing … They’re trying to save her life right now, getting the fluids off her lungs.”
The 94-year-old actress was sent to the hospital after her doctor initially examined her at her Bel Air home.
It has been a rough road for Gabor, who had hip surgery and a leg amputation over the past year. A 2002 car accident left her unable to walk, and her health problems magnified ever since.
Gabor is Hungarian born, and after being crowned Miss Hungary, emigrated to the United States to pursue acting roles, where she was mostly a supporting player.
