Lennon Publicist Says Lennon NOT a Regan Supporter, Believed in “Imagine”

Published

on

We all thought we were finding out a new side of John Lennon yesterday, when Lennon’s former assistant, Fred Seaman, claimed that Lennon was “embarrassed” by the lyrics to “Imagine” and was a huge Reagan supporter.  Well now, someone else is coming forward to say that’s all bull.

According to TMZ, Lennon’s former publicist and close friend, Elliot Mintz, said that Lennon believed in “Imagine” completely and without doubt:

“From the time I met John in 1971, until the end, all of those things he expressed in ‘Imagine’ were part of his belief system until the last breath of his life…If you listen to the last recorded interviews that were done with John, you’ll hear him express in his own words … his own beliefs … which are virtually identical to the beliefs he held in ’71.”

And what does Mintz think about Seaman?

“Apparently his memory was refreshed at the same time his documentary’s release date was imminent … Fred Seaman has a distorted revisionist view of history.”

“Imagine” is such an iconic song, I don’t think any view Lennon could have had at the end of his life could affect it.  However, it is nice to know that he did believe what he inspired so many to believe.

In two videos dated January 8th, exactly a year apart, Lil Nas X eats pizza – in the first, from 2019, he talks about the recent release “Old Town Road” and says “it’s doing pretty f*ckin’ good.”

He notes that he’s still building a following, with just 3 thousand instagram followers, 2 thousand youtube followers and less than 1 thousand spotify followers.

He says he’ll check back a year from then. In the second video he checks back in, now 2020, looking noticeably richer and happier – noting he now has 5 million instagram followers, 8 million youtube followers and 30 MILLION spotify followers. He thanks his fans, and signs off.

Old Town Road has sold more than 1.5 million digital copies in the United States as of December 2019. The single topped the Hot 100 for nineteen consecutive weeks from April to August 2019.

How’s that for inspiring?

POLL: Justin Bieber Releases New Single “Yummy” Four Years After His Last Album. What Do You Think?

Published

on

In less than a day, the single has hit number one on the iTunes charts and the lyric video has gained more than five million views on YouTube.

I’ll be honest, I’ve never been a fan of the word ‘Yummy” when used by anyone old enough to vote. It just creeps me out.

The song is presumably about having sex with his wife Hailey Baldwin, although he doesn’t specifically name her. Let’s hope it’s about her, because it’s definately about having sex with someone.

Watch the lyric video, have a listen and cast your vote in the poll below!

George Michael’s “Last Christmas” Has Been Released In 4K Video And We Need To Discuss

Published

on

As part of a new remastering of Wham!’s holiday song “Last Christmas” the music video has been re-released in High Def glory, and it totally takes you back to 1984.

The 80’s were a time when not all music videos were all that groundbreaking, and directors didn’t always feel compelled to really tell an in depth story. This is no exception. In the video, a gang of friends go on a ski trip and George is eyeing his bandmate’s girlfriend.  (She has her eye on him too.) That’s it. They basically eat and decorate the tree and have a snowball fight and very little happens. It’s as if someone just said, “I rented a cabin in Stowe, let’s make a music video doing whatever.” There’s little to no connection in the story to the lyrics of the song, which is weird, but not all that uncommon for the time. The best part is watching how the hairstyles and outfits, in full 4K HD, seem as if they were shot just this year. It’s like watching Stranger Things – when they recreate that era. But this is the real deal, with George Michael, who was still in the closet at the time, in heavy makeup (heavy on the blush!) and full blown out blond, highlighted hair. But with that voice and those looks, it’s no surprise he was the ‘it’ pop star of the decade. The hair cuts and styles of the women are not to be believed. Somehow at the time we all went along with these styles as though it was amazing. What on earth were we thinking.

The video has been viewed nearly 8 million times since it was put on YouTube just over a week ago. The original version has been viewed more than 485 million times since it was published online in 2009.

Enjoy!
