Dr Phil Helped With His Own Vasectomy. Grossed Out Yet?

McGraw has written an essay for Newsweek where he confesses that he helped a doctor out with his own vasectomy. I know the thought of Dr Phil's reproductive insides is a little tough to bear. I apologize.

McGraw has written an essay for Newsweek where he confesses that he helped a doctor out with his own vasectomy. I know the thought of Dr Phil’s reproductive insides so early in the morning is a little tough to bear. I apologize.

It gets even more colorful: See, it happened when wife Robin was expecting their son Jay. Doc Phil was 29, and the two of them decided they wanted to prevent any more kids from entering the pipeline. (No pun intended.)  the couple decided one child was enough. A doctor friend offered to have McGraw come in for the procedure. Rather than having a nurse at hand, McGraw himself, during the procedure, handed the doc the necessary surgical instruments. (Geez, it’s not like you’re making a pizza together… get some help!) In my opinion, the only way you should ‘help’ with surgery is by lying still.

McGraw’s comments on the operation:  “It’s painful when they kind of pull on it.”)

ewwww.

Apparently, when Phil turned 35, they had some second thoughts, and the procedure was reversed. No word on whether Phil handed the scalpels in the follow up.

If you follow me on twitter, I promise never to talk about Dr. Phil’s tubes again.
