No One Really Asked for It, But GROWN UPS 2 In the Works

Oh dear lord…

I don’t know anyone who was clamoring for this, but apparently Sony Pictures and Happy Madison Productions are in talks with Fred Wolf to write GROWN UPS 2.

According to Variety, the original GROWN UPS, despite not being praised (that’s putting it kindly) by critics and fans alike, ended up being Adam Sandler’s highest-grossing film worldwide at $271 million.  Sandler has never appeared in a sequel before, but if all his best friends and co stars could return (Kevin James, David Spade, Chris Rock and Rob Schneider), you know, just like anyone else would be, he’d love to get a paycheck just to hang out with friends for a bit.

Wolf started off as a writer for “Saturday Night Live” when Sandler, Spade, Rock and Schneider were cast members. His first film credits were BLACK SHEEP and DIRTY WORK, and more recently, he co-wrote JOE DIRT and DICKIE ROBERTS: FORMER CHILD STAR.
