Stan Lee Gives Andrew Garfield His Blessing, Says He’s Just As Good As Tobey!

If you are still skeptical about the new SPIDER-MAN movie, it’s now time to put that fear away.

In a new interview with Access Hollywood, Marvel legend Stan Lee says that while Tobey Maguire did a great job as Spidey, audiences are going to LOVE Andrew Garfield!

“I am Tobey Maguire’s biggest fan. He’s talented, he’s the nicest guy in the world, nobody could have done a better job on ‘Spider-Man’ than he did…But, Andrew Garfield brings his own charisma to this role and he’s as good as Tobey was…I think people are going to love him.”

Lee also says not to worry about any copy cats…Garfield gives the role his all, and creates his own version of Peter Parker, complete with all the essence:

“He doesn’t imitate Tobey, he does his own version of it…Just as Tobey was the essence of Peter Parker, so is Andrew Garfield.”

That’s a pretty big backing right there…
