What is Going On With Bane’s Audio in THE DARK KNIGHT RISES?! Nobody Knows…
There has been some major confusion as to whether or not Warner Bros and Christopher Nolan have tweaked the soundtrack to THE DARK KNIGHT RISES prologue, and it’s not getting any better.
Early yesterday, numerous web sites were reporting that Warner Bros had adjusted the soundtrack for the six-minute opening after major complaints and backlash to the quality of Bane’s dialogue. Collider said they had received a copy of the IMAX letter, which read:
Dear IMAX Projectionist, Please see enclosed a new DTAC soundtrack for your Dark Knight Prologue married to Mission Impossible 4 presentation.
However, later in the day, New York Times writer Dave Itzkoff tweeted that WB says there is “no truth” to the rumors.
On top of that, there have supposedly been movie-goers who say that they have seen the opening with the new soundtrack and Bane’s dialogue is clearer.
Some have suggested that the studio made adjustments, despite Christopher Nolan’s saying that it wouldn’t happen. Maybe they went behind his back? The helmer previously said that he will not re-work the audio even though audiences have been complaining that Bane is difficult to understand. Is it possible that Warners went behind his back and made the changes anyway?
We will keep you updated as the story develops. In the meantime, any thoughts/ideas?
