Actress Sean Young Arrested After Oscar Party Fight
There’s no fun in reporting the sad fall of Sean Young. But once again, the actress has gotten into trouble – this time for her reported involvement in a fight at the post-Oscars Governors Ball.
AP reports that Young was first arrested in a citizen’s arrest, (am I the only one who wonders how the heck you engage in a citizens arrest?) at around 9:25 p.m. Pacific time. She was booked at the Hollywood police station for investigation of misdemeanor battery. She reportedly posted $20,000 bail and was released just before 3am.
TMZ reports that Young got into a physical altercation with a security guard, which climaxed with Young slapping the man.
Other reports claim that Young was spotted drinking champagne leading up to the incident, not to mention frequently asking other celebs to take photographs with her at every turn. Among them, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, Sandra Bullock, and more.
In her prime, Young was a model who rose to fame with roles opposite Harrison Ford in “Blade Runner” (1982) and Kevin Costner in “No Way Out” (1987). But the heyday wouldn’t last – her mood swings and bad temperament soon became her calling card instead of her work. A 1988 romance with “The Boost” co-star James Woods ended so badly he sued her for harassment.
Young also has a pretty cruddy record with awards show behavior. Back in 2008, a drunken Young was thrown out of the Directors Guild of America awards after heckling director Julian Schnabel from her table while he delivered a speech.
In recent years, Young has appeared on Celebrity Rehab on VH1 and Celebrity Life Coach on Vh1. Kind of sad to see that they didn’t work.
