Michael Bay Signs On For PAIN AND GAIN and TRANSFORMERS 4
We all knew it would happen. Michael Bay has signed on for TRANSFORMERS 4.
Despite previously saying that DARK OF THE MOON would be his last space robot adventure, it turns out that Bay and Paramount have reached the exact deal that Bay wanted: let Bay direct his passion project, PAIN AND GAIN, and he’ll deliver another explosive blockbuster.
PAIN AND GAIN is a movie that Bay has been wanting to do for years. Based-on-a-true-story, it follows body builders who kidnap, extort and murder on the side. Production will begin in Miami this April with Mark Wahlberg and The Rock starring. All three parties will be deferring their normal compensation to keep the movie’s budget at “the sure-thing $25 million budget level.”
After production wraps, Bay will meet with Steven Spielberg to work on a new TRANSFORMERS story to get the film out by the summer of 2014.
So get ready for more crazy robots, more lack-of-Megan-Fox, and more of Shia LaBeouf screaming like a little girl!
