Russell Brand and Katy Perry Finalize Divorce…Brand Will NOT Be Asking Perry For Any of Her Money!
It is official: a judge has granted Katy Perry and Russell Brand their divorce.
According to Access Hollywood, Superior Court Judge Marc Marmaro signed the judgment yesterday, less than six weeks after Brand filed for divorce. and one day after Perry filed paperwork stating that she and Brand have agreed on all financial issues.
The exact terms of the breakup are confidential, although it was reported yesterday that Brand will NOT be asking for any of Perry’s $20 million that he’s entitled to. (The two reportedly did not have a prenuptial agreement, which would entitle Russell to half of all of their earnings during their 14-month marriage.)
Brand and Perry married back in October 2010. The two won’t be legally split up until July 14 because California law requires that couples wait at least six months after filing before their divorce can be finalized.
