VIDEO: MEN IN BLACK 3 Gets a Second Trailer

Columbia has just released its newest trailer for MEN IN BLACK 3, and to be honest, I’m a little nervous.

On the plus side, somehow, Barry Sonnenfeld was able to wrangle in Josh Brolin, Emma Thompson, and Jemaine Clement.  On the bad side, I’m getting vibes from both BACK TO THE FUTURE (“Future Man”) and AUSTIN POWERS (the 60s look), and the first 30 seconds are reminding me of Jeff from MIB 2, (not a good thing)…

Obviously, starting with a script that doesn’t have a finished second or third act probably isn’t the best choice, and Sonnenfeld has been quoted as saying on the subject:

“We knew starting the movie that we didn’t have a finished second or third act. Was it responsible? The answer is, if this movie does as well as I think it will, it was genius. If it’s a total failure, then it was a really stupid idea.”

Reassuring…Check out the trailer below and let us know what you think.  The end of the trilogy hits theaters on May 25th.

Plot: In Men in Black 3, Agents J (Will Smith) and K (Tommy Lee Jones) are back… in time. J has seen some inexplicable things in his 15 years with the Men in Black, but nothing, not even aliens, perplexes him as much as his wry, reticent partner. But when K’s life and the fate of the planet are put at stake, Agent J will have to travel back in time to put things right. J discovers that there are secrets to the universe that K never told him — secrets that will reveal themselves as he teams up with the young Agent K (Josh Brolin) to save his partner, the agency, and the future of humankind.
