The son of Bee Gees singer Robin Gibb says that his father has beaten all the odds by waking from his coma.

Robin-John Gibb told ITV News on Monday that doctors gave Gibb “an under 10 percent survival chance and he has beaten the odds … he really is something else.”

The 62-year-old singer has advanced colorectal cancer and according to his doctor, Andrew Thillainayagam, has recently caught pneumonia from being weakened by chemotherapy.

Thillainayagam says that Gibb is now fully conscious and has been talking with his wife, Dwina, and children.

We wish Gibb and his family only the best.
