Trek Movie has confirmed today (citing multiple reputable sources) that none other than Benedict Cumberbatch will be playing Khan!
According to the article, Khan will be back in 2013, but the film will NOT be a rehash of “Space Seed,” the original “Star Trek” episode where the USS Enterprise first encounters him from the past. (And even if it is, the creation of an alternate timeline in the 2009 remake can lead the to many other changes…)
Trek Movie has also confirmed that Leonard Nimoy will be returning as Spock Prime.
STAR TREK 2 will be released in theaters on May 17, 2013.
