GLEE Star Amber Riley Collapses On Red Carpet – Photographers Take The High Road!

GLEE star Amber Riley (who plays Mercedes) collapsed on the red carpet Tuesday night, chalking it up to a lon day of work and the barrage of camera flashes.  (And yet, shockingly – as of now – there are no photos!)

Riley was at the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Leonard H Goldensen Theatre to take part in a panel discussion for Emmy voters. Her castmates were also there. Then, while posing for photographers, she fell to the ground. Surprisingly, the paparazzi stood down and stopped taking pics while she was on the ground.

She elaborated on the incident via twitter:

Hey guys, I’m okay 🙂 I got a little dizzy from all the photog flashes! You’d think I’s be used to it by now, still a red carpet amateur I guess. Gonna get checked out but I feel fine. Thank you for all the concern and well wishes.

I’d also like to thank the photographers for being do professional and not taking photos of me on the ground. I truly truly appreciate it. Could have been super embarrassing.

Riley has making making headlines for her weight loss lately, so it might be expected that the subject might come up int he coverage of this incident. The actress has gone down two dress sizes, but it doesn’t appear that her weight has been drastic or unhealthy. (Quite the contrary, in fact.)
