Is THE AVENGERS Going to Make $600 Milion By Sunday Night…?
Just as many have expected, THE AVENGERS is easily on track to become the most successful Marvel film ever. What you may have not realized is that it’s on track to do it within about ten days.
According to Worst Previews, AVENGERS has already earned $218 million overseas in its first six days of release (read my review RIGHT HERE!). At that pace, it could gross $350 million – $400 million by Sunday in overseas markets alone. In North America (where it will be released at midnight tomorrow night), experts are predicting with all the pre-sales, a weekend gross of around $150-$200 million at least. Put that together, and within ten days, the little superhero movie that could (sense my sarcasm?) could already hit $600 million, only $23 Million short of the worldwide gross of Marvel’s current best, IRON MAN 2.
Something tells me Disney will have no problem making up their losses for JOHN CARTER…
