Disney Aims To Bring “The Avengers” To Theme Parks

When you've got the year's mega-hit, why WOULDN'T you bring the Avengers characters to your theme parks?

When you’ve got the year’s mega-hit, why WOULDN’T you bring the Avengers characters to your theme parks?

Walt Disney Co’s design team is investing $1 billion into the Disney California Adventure park AND  “The Avengers” characters like The Hulk, Iron Man and Captain America WILL BE THERE. Smart, given that the film has already sold more than 1.3 billion dollars worth of tickets around the world. All that said, they can’t bring the Marvel characters to Orlando, since they’re licensed to Universal Studios there. They will bring the characters to parks outside the U.S.

It didn’t seem immediately clear that the Avengers would be the theme of a thrill ride, which would obviously be a bigger draw for the movie’s older fans.
