Justice At Long Last! The JUSTICE LEAGUE Movie Gets a Writer In The Form of Will Beall!
After the massive success of THE AVENGERS, fans have been not-so-silently wondering if a JUSTICE LEAGUE movie would be in the near future. And even if we DID get a movie, could it ever possibly live up to the universe that Marvel has created?
Well, it seems like DC is definitely giving it all a shot, and they’re throwing all their chips behind one Will Beall.
Variety is reporting today that Beall, known for writing scripts for GANGSTER SQUAD, the LOGAN’S RUN remake, and LETHAL WEAPON 5, has been tapped to bring Superman, Batman, The Flash, Aquaman, Wonder Woman, and the Green Lantern together for their own colossal hit.
Pressure much?
Warner Bros has neither confirmed nor denied the news, but according to reports, if DC were to do a JUSTICE LEAGUE movie, it would definitely happen after Zach Snyder’s MAN OF STEEL, hinting at the fact that the studio may want to build off of that film and Christopher Nolan’s Batman universe. (Hopefully, they just leave GREEN LANTERN alone…) And since Nolan has said in the past that he would like to be a part of JUSTICE LEAGUE if it came to fruition, and Christian Bale has said he would come back to play Batman if Nolan called, that may mean things are moving in a nice direction…
So you tell us…who would you want to see direct and star in a new JUSTICE LEAGUE movie, and does DC build off of past films, or just recast everything and start from scratch?
