More Trouble For Lindsay Lohan: Did She Lie To Investigators?

New questions in Lindsay Lohan’s Friday car accident – Did she tell police that her assistant was driving and not her? And was the other driver offered a bribe to keep quiet?

TMZ reports that Santa Monica Police Department are investigating whether she lied about who was behind the wheel when her rental Porsche collided with a truck. Lohan was apparently driving, but reportedly told police that it was her assistant operating the car. Lohan’s assistant later told police the actress was driving.

Police are allegedly filing a report that she lied to authorities, which could result in a probation violation, and even a return to jail.

The driver of the truck  is now alleging that Lohan’s camp offered him money to keep quiet about the crash. Lohan’s rep is denying the bribery allegations, releasing a statement:

“It seems to me once he realized he wasn’t going to get anything from Lindsay he decided to get cash by telling tales to the tabloids. I hope he got whatever money he was looking for. Personally, all I care about is that Lindsay and [her assistant] Gavin are okay.”
