UPDATE: Kristen Stewart Releases Public Apology To Robert Pattinson For Cheating, Says “I Love Him, I Love Him”

UPDATE: Kristen Stewart has now issued a public apology to boyfriend Robert Pattinson.

According to People, the statement reads:

“I’m deeply sorry for the hurt and embarrassment I’ve caused to those close to me and everyone this has affected. This momentary indiscretion has jeopardized the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob. I love him, I love him, I’m so sorry.”

Rumors are flying today that TWILIGHT star Kristen Stewart may have pulled a fast one on boyfriend Robert Pattinson.

According to multiple reports, Stewart recently hooked up with her SNOW WHITE AND THE HUNTSMAN director Rupert Sanders.  Both the 22-year-old Stewart and the 41-year-old Sanders have significant others.

A source for People says, however, that while the hookup did happen, it was nothing but a quick mistake:

“Kristen is absolutely devastated…It was a mistake and a complete lapse in judgment…She wasn’t having an affair with Rupert. It was just a fleeting moment that shouldn’t have happened…She never meant to hurt anyone. She’s a good person who just made a bad choice.”

Us Weekly also reported the incident, claiming that there are photos of Kristen and Rupert locking lips.

Sanders is married to British Vogue model Liberty Ross, who tweeted the word, “Wow,” hours before the story broke.  She has since deleted her account. Britain’s Daily Mail also reported that Liberty retweeted a Marilyn Monroe quote, “Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together,” from the Women of History Twitter feed before she deactivated her account.

Reps for both Stewart and Sanders have declined to comment on the situation.
