Sheryl Crow Is Granted A Restraining Order Against Man Who Threatened To Shoot Her
Sheryl Crow has been granted a temporary restraining order against a man who is accused of threatening to shoot her.
According to Access Hollywood, the court order requires that 45-year-old Phillip Gordon Sparks stay at least 100 yards away from the singer, and never attempt to contact her, her family or any of her workers. Crow wrote in a sworn statement that she is fearful of Sparks because he claimed in online rants that she broke into his house and stole money from him, and recently showed up at the offices of an entertainment union and told a worker that he was going to “just shoot” her.
That union worker said in a written declaration that Sparks not only made the threats against Crow, but also threatened to shoot film executive Harvey Weinstein because he believed they were filming him and stole millions from him.
The temporary order was granted July 24. A hearing on a three-year protective order is scheduled for Aug. 14 in California.
