Amy Winehouse’s Ex-Husband In Medically Induced Coma After Overdose
Only a year after Amy Winehouse’s death, her former husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, is now facing the same fate.
NBC News is reporting that Fielder-Civil has been put into a medically induced coma after suffering an overdose last Friday.
According to the Daily Mail, Fielder-Civil was found by his partner, Sarah Aspin, choking in bed, and was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital in West Yorkshire, England. Aspin told The Sun that the 30-year-old arrived home the night before “slurring his words and staggering,” and she feared “he was on something.”
Mitch Winehouse, Amy’s father asked for any good thoughts from fans on Twitter yesterday for his former son-in-law, writing, “Terrible news about Blake this morning. Remember Amy loved him. Let’s pray for his recovery.”
Fielder-Civil reportedly suffered multiple organ failure and remains on life support.
