Brett Ratner May Direct JUSTICE LEAGUE, Ben Affleck Says He Never Was, And Where Does Batman Get Reintroduced?

It seems like Warner Bros' JUSTICE LEAGUE movie may have finally found its director.

It seems like Warner Bros’ JUSTICE LEAGUE movie may have finally found its director.

Worst Previews is reporting that the studio is very interested in RUSH HOUR director Brett Ratner for the job.  Ratner has a bit of a history with comic book movies, directing X-MEN: THE LAST STAND, and almost directing SUPERMAN RETURNS before Bryan Singer got the job.

Again, though, this could be just speculation, especially after previously sought-after director Ben Affleck told 24 Hours Vancouver that all the rumors of him directing were just that: rumors.

“I’m not working on the Justice League. One of the problems with entertainment web sites is that they need to fill pages, and that’s how rumours get started…Justice League sounds really exciting, but it’s not something I’m working on.”

The JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA movie is being written by GANGSTER SQUAD scribe Will Beall.  Henry Cavill and Ryan Reynolds are expected to return as their superhero counterparts, Superman and Green Lantern, while the search for a new Batman, Wonder Woman and Flash are still on.

Batman fan site Batman-On-Film recently learned that, despite hoping to reboot Batman before the JUSTICE LEAGUE movie comes out, it will instead introduce the new Batman in the big budget epic, and then develop the reboot right after.
