Madonna Shows Up Two Hours Late For Concert

Madonna may have caused a bit of controversy across the seas in Europe, but now, she’s making a few problems right here on her own soil by showing up two-and-a-half hours late for her own concert.

CBS Philly is reporting that the incident, which took place on the first stop of her first US tour in four years, had fans waiting from the initial start time of 8PM to the usual end time of 10:30pm with nothing more than a DJ to fill the time.  And fans were not happy…

Debbie Bleznak, who left before the show began to get home to her child, told CBS, “I don’t know who you think you are Madonna, but you stink…We left. You can pay my babysitter.”

Even Philadelphia Councilman Jim Kinney tweeted, “Yo Madonna! It’s 10:15. Some of us have to work tomorrow while you sleep til noon with cucumbers on your eyes.”

HitFix.com is reporting that when the singer finally did show up, she told the audience,

“I want to apologize for being late. We had many changes to make from Europe to America, and I wanted the show to be perfect for you because my fans deserve it and quite frankly I deserve it.”

So does that mean she was running late, or just too stubborn to go on stage until the changes were made?
You tell us what you think.

Madonna has been no stranger to controversy the last few months.  In July, she drew outrage in Paris for screening footage of French National Front party leader Marine Le Pen with a swastika superimposed on her face. (She did the same thing in Israel.)  In June, she flashed her breasts at a concert in Istanbul, her butt at a concert in Rome, and pointed a gun at her head at a show in London.
