Bryan Cranston Says He And Aaron Paul Were Taught To Make Meth In Preparation For “Breaking Bad”!
If you thought Bryan Cranston was already badass as our friendly neighborhood drug dealer, Walter White, get ready…because he is about to blow your mind…
In an interview on Howard Stern’s SiriusXM show to promote his new film, ARGO, Cranston revealed that he and co-star Aaron Paul actually know how to make the drug of choice on his show, “Breaking Bad”!
“We were taught how to make meth (by) DEA chemists who were our consultants on the show. We didn’t cook it, but we were told exactly the process at that high level.”
Despite Cranston saying they never cooked, Stern kept pushing, saying that he believed that “in preparation for the role, the DEA let you cook up a little meth.” Cranston’s response only made us wonder more:
“Maybe…I can’t tell you one way or the other. It’s extremely difficult (to cook meth). There are so many volatile components to it that at any given time, you could literally blow up. So you had to be very careful and very specific to follow this. Most of the cooks are also meth heads themselves. That’s why they get themselves in trouble and you see burn marks, or their hands are missing.”
So on one side of the coin, we know that none of the actors are missing any limbs. On the other side, wouldn’t it be so much cooler to think Malcolm’s dad knows how to cook meth?!
And also, if this acting thing doesn’t work out for him, at least we know he has a back up gig…
