It’s shaping up to be a big night for Lifetime. For Lohan? Hard to say. But if you’re looking for witty commentary, look no further than the rude, snarky, hilarious, and yes, sometimes supportive comments on twitter. Here are some of the best and worst zingers. The most important lesson? Twitter can be a cruel, cruel place.

Mind you, while the ‘funny’ tweets are usually negative, there is a fair amount of support out there for her as well. I have to say, it can’t be easy to be Lohan. Liz Taylor had her own problems with the press – but this new world of instant – and often shameless public social scrutiny can’t be easy to deal with. It’s never been harder to be in show business. Let’s hope she can turn all this around, make better choices, and get on with a better life.
