Only a month after cutting a $100,000 check for Lindsay Lohan’s tax problems, the always controversial star has decided to send a generous amount to the family of deceased paparazzo Chris Guerra to help cover his funeral costs.

Charlie reportedly sent a $12,000 check to the family earlier this week after hearing a plea from Guerra’s friend concerning costs for the wake.  Sheen released a statement, telling E! News,

“A tragic incident like this erases the line between the photographer and the subject. It’s an unforgiving moment that begs us all to be human and work as one to prevent this in the future…As parents, we are all not supposed to bury our children. My deepest condolences to the families involved.”

The 29-year-old Guerra was killed last week crossing Sepulveda Boulevard after snapping pictures of Justin Bieber’s car during a traffic stop.  It turns out that Bieber’s friend, Lil’ Twist was actually the one driving at the time.
