Pop Video- Check Out Anna Kendrick’s “Cups” Music Video

Following last years acapella Musical Comedy PITCH PERFECT, fans have bought the films album in droves, over 600,000 copies were sold – beating out the soundtrack for LES MISERABLES!  Featured on the album is PITCH PERFECT lead Anna Kendrick and her version of “Cups”. The song was a cover of a British band called Lulu And The Lampshades, The song is also a cover of J.E. Mainer’s Mountaineers “Miss Me When I’m Gone” from 1937. Kendrick who is clearly musically inclined, actually got her big break as a child in Broadway’s “High Society” in 1997. The Oscar nominated actress  admitted to seeing the Lulu And The Lampshades version on Reddit, and sang it for the film. Now Kendrick (who has performed the song on late night TV) is returning to the song for a music video version that is also pretty awesome.

Kendrick is not done singing her songs yet, she will appear in a Broadway adaptation of THE LAST 5 YEARS in 2014 and could return to her role in PITCH PERFECT for a sequel in 2015.
