The problems and rumors continue for Christina Aguilera…
TMZ is reporting that the singer and her boyfriend Matt Rutler were arrested early Tuesday morning in West Hollywood for a misdemeanor charge for public intoxication, while Rutler also faces a misdemeanor charge for driving under the influence.
Cops say Aguilera was a passenger in Rutler’s car when officers noticed he was driving erratically around 2:45 AM.
Rutler’s bail was set at $5,000, and a source for TMZ says, “If the driver had NOT been arrested for DUI, [Christina] would have never been in trouble.”
This the latest bump Aguilera, who faced public ridicule when she botched the national anthem at the Super Bowl and then stumbled onstage at the Grammys.
Aguilera and Rutler have been dating since last fall.
