Ed Harris is set to play a better looking version of John McCain opposite Julianne Moore in HBO Films’ Game Change. (He was awesome in Pollock and has four Oscar nominations.) You’ll recall that Julianne Moore is going to play Sarah Palin, and somewhere Palin is gritting her teeth over how she’ll be portrayed, because she knows how that has a history of going.
You can’t ignore the strong casting here. The film follows McCain’s 2008 presidential campaign, based on the bestselling book Game Change, by John Heilemann and Mark Halperin.
You also can’t ignore that McCain scored here. You always want someone good looking to play you, even if you don’t like the whole ‘I lost the election’ storyline.
